We received a message that the Sheriff's Dept was going to come to our home (and he gave the address) to arrest my daughter the following day.

When I called the number back I spoke to a Mike Taylor (with a very heavy foreign accent) who said the police were going to come the following day and arrest my daughter for a unpaid loan.

I asked who he was calling for b/c he wasn't saying her first or last name correctly.  His response to me was "how do your pronounce your name".  Then I asked what this loan was for and who the loan was through and he was extremely vague about who the original creditor was and when the loan was made.

He was specific on the amount $655.35.  I managed to get the name Cash Advance USA from him but not when the loan was originated.  I asked for the address and phone number to Cash Advance USA and he told me I would have to look it up.  I also asked if they had sent any documentation regarding this loan he said "they" told him they had.

He kept telling me that he was with the State Investigation Office and that they were bound by the FBI. I asked him what that meant and he paused and I could hear someone else talking to him in the background.  Then he responded by telling me what the FBI abbrevation stood for.

I attempted to ask him when not paying a bill became a criminal office that warranted a home visit for an arrest and he said again that they were bound by the FBI.

He told me that he could only accept a payment over the phone and that I didn't need their address but that they were located in Ohio (which did match with the area code that the number was from-234).  However after our conversation was over my husband called them back and was told there were based in Florida.

I ended the conversation by telling him he could send the police b/c I was giving any money until he gave me more info, which he never did.

I called my daughter, who is away in college and she did say that she had gotten emails from a Cash Advance USA that she was pre-qualified for a loan, but she has never responded, applied or gotten any money from them.

As the saying goes, trust your instincts b/c this sounded shady from the beginning.
