On May 12 we obtained a quote from cashforiphones.com of $153 for a used Verizon iPhone 5, in great condition. Due to this quote we mailed them our phone understanding the $153 was a quote, but also keeping in mind the phone we sent was fully operable, included original box and charger and had no cracks or dents. Since the website reported that it took about 5 days to obtain our check, on or about June 11, 2015, we attempted to call and ask about the check. They reported it was in the mail and we awaited for its arrival. On June 12, 2015, we obtained a check for ($26) twenty six dollars.  Upon seeing this check, I quickly called to speak to someone on June 13, 2015, at 7:00 AM. After speaking to a customer service representative I was transferred to the purchasing department that handles these issues. The purchasing department acknowledged the quote I obtained for $153, but stated since the phone had "wear on the home button and wear on the touch screen" it was determined to be worth $26. That normal wear made it a difference of $127?! We asked the representative to please send us our phone back and we would return them the check, the representative stated that our phone has already been recycled and wouldn't be possible (even though we just got the check) When we asked for a supervisor she proclaimed she was the supervisor and that she has no supervisor. When asked about who we could go for further assistance, the representative offered no assistance. Afterwards, I did a quick online search about this company and saw numerous people have been cheated by this company. I understand that I was quoted but the $26 dollar check was obscene and almost offensive. I came to make a complaint because I know I'm not the only one with similar problems with this company, but they continue to operate and "bait and switch" people.
