CashForLaptops Classic Bait and Switch Tactics - Promising More and Delivering Less Reno Internet

I searched around for the best site to recycle my daughter's old IPhone 4S (32Gig) and found CashForLaptops. they offered $90 (contingent on their inspection) if the phone was in good condition, which it was. 3 weeks later I received and email stating the phone was only worth $7 (a 92% decrease). They noted problems that I certainly did not see and also noted the market seems to have dropped significantly since I sent the phone in. I asked them to send the phone back but they said they had already sold it and it was gone. They said if I had a problem with the offer, I should have called sooner. I explained that I emailed them back immediately after I got their email saying the phone was only worth $7, got an automated response saying they'd get back to me shortly, received an email a few days later (on Saturday) giving me a number to call during the week. I called and got a very harsh employee who gave me the reasons cited above and said I should have called sooner.

In my eyes, this company exhibits the classic traits of the old Bate and Switch scam artist companies and is a complete rip-off. I plan to continue sending out this letter to as many sites as I can find to warn people against using this company in the future as well as contacting the better business bureau about them. I hope this information helps warn future customers to their scrupulous business practices.
