Get ready for an eyeful:  My husband and I borrowed $1000 from castle payday loans.  We agreed to a $250 (25%) finance fee that would be drafted bi-weekly on our payday.  Anything after our finance fee amount was to be applied to the principal of the loan. Our agreement was set in motion on 7/26/13 and our first finance fee was due 8/2.  When our first draft was taken they charged 2 finance fees of $250 equaling $500.  We didn't call and ASSUMED (bad idea with this company) that the additional $250 would be applied to the principal of the loan, as agreed. August 16th came around and it was time for us to have our second finance fee drafted.  Castle payday took out $250 again.  My husband and I thought that was incorrect because our principal loan should have come down resulting in a lower finance fee.  I got carried away with back to school and life and completely spaced calling and handling the situation.  I figured we'd resolve all questions and issues on August 30th because at that point we would have the money to pay off the loan.

First thing in the morning on August 30th I logged in to check my bank activity and castle payday had already taken there finance charge of once again $250 coming out to a total of $750 in finance fees.  I logged on castle payday loans website to check on the loan and be done with our business.  That's when I noticed my loan still @ $1000 with a finance fee of $250 applied in advance for 9/13/13(this would have been our next draft date if we carried on our loan) making a grand total of $1250.  I called and spoke to several agents on August 30th and we had come to an understanding that they had not applied the additional $250 from the double charge on August 2nd.  We made several conference calls to my bank to confirm the Castle payday’s activity.  At that point I only owed 609.37 to pay off my loan. Under the pretense that any extra money paid after the finance fee would go to the principal.   They went into my account today and took out an additional $781.25 which made a grand total of $1781.25 for one month of financing on a $1000 loan.  At this point they refuse to do any reimbursements because they applied the finance charge for 9/13 which in their words evened it all out.  This is a very deceitful company they do not have sufficient communtication skills, record keeping or strong work ethic.  Castle payday loan is nothing more than a lie and scam.  If you’re looking for a payday loan steer clear of this company or you will surely be their next victim.
