Cavalier Telephone They changed my phone number without my Permission Reston Virginia

This company is just scary. I switched to this company in Sept of 07 claiming that they will save me money. The savings really turned out to be not much over Verizon. Anyway they forgot to add a service on which was calling blocking, ok things happen. I called them 2 other times since they still did not add the service. Now here is the amazing part. People have been calling me on my cell telling me that they can not get my phone to ring. I really don t use the phone that much but I have had the same number for about 15 years. I checked and did have a dial tone and I called my number myself and it did not ring. So I called my cell and guess what not only was call blocking added to my phone, but they changed my phone number without my permission. I attempted to contact them on Sunday when I found out about this problem and of course they are closed.

A big company like that has no customer service on a Sunday, what s that about. So I went on line to their repair techs, there where 2 people ahead of me. It took 3 hours for a tech to respond. At that time I found out that on 1/25 that they stated I asked to have my number changed which I never did nor anyone else since I am the only person who lives here. Great security HUH? I told them I want my number back and the tech stated that they gave it back to Verizon and I could not get it and he could no longer assist me. The angry is is building. I called Verizon and they told me that I could get my number back and that from their records they did not see my name mentioned anywhere to request a change. Somehow these people took it on their own to change my phone number. So this company wants your business stating cheaper rates, which is not much, can not add caller ID block after 2 phone calls to them, then they change my number without me knowing. Even if someone was playing games and called stating it was me (which no one did since no one knows I use Cavalier) what kind of security do they have? I will call them tom. morning and I hope I get a man supervisor on the phone because this is not going to be a pretty conversation. I am also contacting the FCC. Please stay away from this company, I don t know how they stay in business. If anyone else has had similiar problems with this company let me know, since I like to start a class action suit against them.
