Cavalry Portfolio Services Fraud, rip-off, thief, bottom feeder, totally unethical company Valhalla New York

I received a letter from CPS about a year ago, claiming that I owed them $8,000+. I called them and said I had no such debt, they replied that it was a debt from a credit card account to Chase. I told them that that account was closed in 2006 and written off by Chase. They claimed that payments had been made on the account since then, therefore it is still valid.

I told them to remove my name from their records as they had no proof of the debt. They told me that they did so I asked them to please send me such proof. I have seen nothing from them.

Now the debt has shown up on my credit report as a collection. I submitted a complaint to the Credit reporting company, but they said that according to their inquiry, the debt was valid.

They even went so far as to say (in the credit report) that the debt was opened in 2013, when in fact it was closed in 2006. It appears that they will go to any lengths to defraud people out of their money. I am a 100% disabled vet, my income is from SS and the VA, both safe from garnishment, but the fact that they can do this and get away with it is beyond belief...it is nothing more than grand larceny and there should be jail time involved for the owners of the company, I'm sure that Mr. Madoff would appreciate the company.
