I work for this horrible company, but in the process of looking for another job. I didn't realize what a scam it was until I was transfered to the Benifits and Cards department.

The reps are told to do anything to keep the acct. By giving more merchandise credit, lowering the Auto debit to either $129.99 and moving 70.00 to your merchant card (which locks you in) and lowering the Membership Fee to $99.99 and 100.00 to the merchant card- This is down when a supervisor or manager comes to the phone. The worst this they offer it to move the entire membership fee to the card.

What happens here is that they tell you that you will not be bill until 60 day from the day you agree, (ok that sounds pretty good.) BUT, before that 60 days is up -- your Checking Account is debited for the Benifits (two charges of 99.99) and the the next month you are hit witht he annual fee for 99.99 (now your checking account is hit for a total of almost $300.00) or I forgot you are told that you can get your catalogues faster if you pay $29.99 so your hit with that two. Then you are hit with the membership fee of $199.99. Oh, you want to cancel (TOO BAD) you have to have a 00.00 Balance to do that. and if you read above you don't have that right.

Now all this is horrible, but it gets worst. For the past several month (maybe more), somehow the computer seem to go down. So when the consumer calls to cancel they are told to call back in a hour and this goes on for a couple of days before your free trial period is up and you are told to call an cancel. (So guess what you can not get in touch with a rep and your checking acct is debit. (all fees are non-refundable) Good luck in getting a refund. Because they just don't give refunds. That is how they stay in business. I really wish that there is someone that can stop this.

PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!!!!!

#4 UPDATE EX-employee responds

So true

AUTHOR: Lashay - (U.S.A.)

Hello this is ______ with the benefits and cards services department. What is your 7 digit member ID number or your 16 digit first national card number?

So true what you are saying, the best thing about this company is that they have TJ's down stairs, and thier prices where high a*s hell...

Personally I wouldn't let my grandmother sign up for this First National Card. Everyone is complaining that it is not a general credit card, well when you first recieved your approval letter, it tell you everything, in not so many words. So for everyone read that d**n letter it saves you heartache. Call the benefits and cards services department right after you call the activations department and have them reexplain the program to you. This as well saves heartache. 199.99 membership fee plus 29.99 rush processing fee plus 198.00 anual fee (the first year and 99.99 each year there after) and 99.99 each for the two great benefits... haha what a joke.

They start you off with the free autopayment service. But whats free with this company you ask. Well when you call the BC(benefits and cards services department) they can give you free rush processing a 29.99 value for free. But what they don't tell you is they were going to give that to you regardless and its still going to get there in the same amount of time!

Well thats all I have to say for today.

Can I answer any other questions for you today?
Well thank you for calling the benifts and cards services department and you have a wonderful day. (Yes I still know the script word for word!! and the rebuttals)
