Celebrity Prime Foods; Aka - Celebrity Foods, Inc. Stay Away! The food is mediocre, the prices ridiculously high, and the "service" non-existent. Anaheim California

We were reluctant to sign up, but the persistance and apparent honesty of our salesperson sealed the deal. I wish I had read the Rip-off Report first. Fortunately, we did not go for the freezer purchase. Long story short...they promised six months of "high quality" food in meal size protions. We had a couple of quality issues with the initial delivery which, three months later, they are issuing a credit for, but we will definitely not reorder, so we will not receive any credit. The greater issue is that we ran out of food half way into our six month contract period, and are faced with three more months of bills, and no food. At signing, we pressed them for cost per pound, and quantity of food to be delivered, but got nowhere. They assured us that we would have enough food to last. We have a small freezer (10 cubic foot) which was about 2/3 full with their first delivery. For a family of five, for six months...you do the math.

I contacted customer service immediately, and told them I wanted a refund, as there was insufficient food for the money, and our first meal was pretty lousy (pork chops). They were pretty rude, indicating that we had signed a contract, and were locked in. We could try to cancel, but would be faced with credit report problems with HAC (finance partner), as it was out of their hands! They stated that we should try some of the other food, and if there were problems, to contact them later. Reluctantly, we stuck with the program. There were some good meals, but nothing that you couldn't find at Costco, for a whole lot less money!

So I've contacted them about the food shortage again, and they have given me the run around for three weeks now, passing me from Customer Service to Sales. No response on their part, or even an attempt to resolve the issue so far! I plan to contact HAC, stop payments, contact the Better Business Bureau, and tell as many people as possible about this poor excuse for a "food service" company.
