Since May 2014 I've been in an ongoing conflict with Century 21 Insurance over a fraudlent claim against me which raised my insurance costs by 400%. On a trip to Georgia on May 5, 2014, I was hit by a driver apparently exiting a driveway outside my field of vision as both lanes to my right were clear all the way back to the last light -- about the length of 25 cars. After making certain the lanes were clear, I started to move into the next lane, but before I'd gone more than a foot I was hit on the passenger side by a reckelss eriver who had apparently just emerged from a driveway in front of a business and quickly cut across 2 empty lanes. In other words, he hit me right on the dividing lane betwen my lane and the lane to my right. He was driving a much older car than mine, and I've always suspected I was intentionally hit so he could get someone else's insurance to pay for repairs on his old car. Clearly Century 21 did.

When the policeman showed up, Robbie refused to say a single word about how the accident occored, nor did I know since I had made absolutely certain the lane into which I was about to move was completely clear. The pliceman gave me the ticket, but the Georgia traffic court cancelled it based on the evidence. My car still had the damage done to the right side in front of the passenger seat. My new insurance agent looked at it a few days ago and said it clearly shows the other driver hit me.

Centurey 21 paid out nearly $3,000 to the other drive for some minor scratches and a small dent about the size of my hand, both caused by his hitting my car and then continuing forward several feet.

I drove 330 miles again 2 days later to reexamine the accident site to try to figure out where the other driver had come from since he appeard from nowhere. The rest of that is a long story, but I've been in an ongoing conflict with Century 21 ever since.

Their position with me is that it does not matter which vehicle hit which or what the Georgia traffic court says about who is responsible. Rather, they, the insurer, get to decide which party they will believe since it gives them a chance to sharply raise insurance rates on their insurees. Interestingly, while we were waiting for the policeman to arrive, Robbie bragged to me how he was a wealthy man and had defrauded the State of Georgia and the Federal goverment out of huge amounts of tax money by hiding his assets -- and this is the party Century 21 decided to side with over a man who has been driving for 66 years and never hit another vehicle and is a careful driver...and a former clergyman.

Just today Centruy 21 and I had a virtual shouting match over the phone over this long-running dispute. They will make up anything they want to justify their decisions, the truth be damned.

My advice: never isnure with Century 21 or Farmers Insurance unless you are ok with getting screwed. These are not honest people!
