C&F Finance Company - Charles Marrow - Shawn Kirchner - Emmely Byrd - Tiffany Griffin Harassming phone calls at work and to mother-in-law, multiple calls less than 5 minutes apart, yelling on phone. Richmond Virginia

I bought a brand new 2001 Ford Focus this summer, from Liberty Ford in Baltimore, Md. I couldn't be happier with the car or the salesman, Rodney Elliott.

My problem is that the finance company, C&C Finance is constantly harassing me at work, and even calling my mother-in-law! Before the first payment was even due, they called me to ask if I was going to pay it, six weeks before it was even due. One time I was one day late, and they called me at work. Yes, you read that correctly. One day late. They have called me up to six times in one day.

Here's a list of the people who keep calling me:
Charles Marrow - hasn't called lately. Maybe he's left the company?
Shawn Kirchner - this guy yelled at me on my voice mail!
Tiffany Griffin - the only one who seems to be halfway decent.
Emmely (sic) Byrd - I can't understand half of what she says.

Recently we had a family emergency, and yes I was late on paying, but I started a second job and then I called & emailed them with an exact date of when my payday was & that I would pay by Moneygram on that day. I actually wound up borrowing the money & paid it earlier. I made arrangements with Charles Marrow, but Shawn Kirchner called me and said, "I know you spoke with Charles Marrow, but I want you to talk to me." When I emailed Tiffany Griffin and had everything squared away, Emmely (sic) Byrd called and said, "I know you have been in contact with Tiffany, but I don't find that acceptable." Huh? I was late one one payment, with another one not due for a day or so. Yes this has now been paid. Are they on some kind of commission, and trying to backstab the others to get credit for my payment?

Shawn Kirchner is by far the worst one. Just yesterday (02/20/08) alone, he called me three times, including at work. I have asked C&F multiple times not to call me at work, but Shawn Kirchner just keeps calling away. Yesterday he called while I was on lunch duty with 180 eighth graders. I asked him to call my cell phone in an hour. Instead, he called twice about 30 minutes later, left two messages less than five minutes apart, stating that I "had better" call him. And in case you're wondering, I'm not months behind, or even one month. We're talking about six days. Yes, six days.

C&F Finance is currently in violation of the Consumer Credit Protection Act of 1996, Sections 805 and 806. Yesterday I filed a complaint against them with the Better Business Bureau of Richmond, VA.
