Chad is currently in jail in Tifton as I write this. He is just being charged with various "Wire Fraud" sort of charges. The detective I was talking to said that now is a great time to speak up if you have been frauded in a similar way by Chad Williamson. He was apparently served with 6 warrants as he sat in jail from six different people’s claims. I suspect there are many more. The officer said that none of the four RipOffReport claims online matched the claims she had on her desk, so if you have filed, you should contact the Tifton Police department (229-382-3132) and ask for Detective Ferron. If you do this very soon, she will likely still be working the case.

quick version of my story. I make a deposit for a trailer to Chad. He acted like he didn’t care if it were a wire transfer or not, but made excuses about every other form of payment. We sent him $1000 (May 9th, 2014) in deposit on a custom trailer. He told us about everything we wanted to hear and sounded so genuine and believable. He sounds like the nicest guy ever, but is possibly a pathological liar.

He agreed to have the trailer done in about two weeks. We asked for pictures of the trailer, but he would never produce them. He gave all the excuses. He finally said it was ready to ship in time for the event we needed the trailer for. He was super secretive on the shipper, but said he can NOT ship until the final payment. Of course, it was down to the last minute, so we wired him the rest of the money. Before you say we are idiots for wiring, it would have happened the same way had we mailed him a check.

 My father and I took a day off work and was supposed to meet the driver about halfway in Knoxville, TN. We traveled 5.5 hours and it was a no-show. Chad said they are trying to get a GPS location on the driver, but ended up just stalling and stalling. He ended up saying for us to just go home, and that he would refund half of our money and make a new trailer exactly the same and deliver it himself.

 That of course never happened and he is now in jail and we are out $3200 plus a bunch of other hardships. I am pretty positive we are going to file a civil suit and sue him.
