 march 12,2012 I purcheshed a champion generator from Cabela's sporting goods I tried to return the unit before I ever removed it from the stores rear door; I was told they could not except it at the store I had to send it back to the factory. I took it. I removed it from the box and put it together in may 2012. we tried to weld some pipe and the generator kept shuting down; about the5th or 6th time the pull cord broke when I tried to shut it off the on/off switch broke.

called champion sent me to surprise lawn and garden shop on grand ave suprise az. they told me I needed to keep the filter clean and stored in a clean area,But I've only used it about 30 mins..Nov 02 2013 After using it no more then 20 hrs. (at first I said 5 hrs)then I sat down and tried to figure all the times I had used it and what I used it for I figured 20 to25 hrs. whould be alot.

it would run but would shut down when you put a load on it. I returned it to surprise lawn and garden when they called me they said they wouldn't advise me to fix it it was shot. so I called champion and he said that guy was crazy and didn't know what he was talking; then Rick ask where did you take it? I told Rick where they sent me for warranty work. Rick then called Jim(surprise lawn and garden) come back to me and said he told Jim to remove the head to see how many hrs. where on the unit and he would call me back never heard from him til the 14th nov..

Rick told me Iwas a lier and he didn't believe anything I said Which is what he said each tim I talked to him on the phone. Rick says pictures show 200 to300 rs. of use. Jim wn't say. I think Cabela'a sold it and took it back in on a return and sold it to me as new. I can't prove it don't know if it can be proved(I think it can);But,I know I didn't put that many hrs. on it.
