Chase Cardmember Service saying "past due-$21.00.' - I have NO Chase Credit Card, never have Wilmington, Delaware

Rec'd computer generated postal lettr from Chase. stating "as a valued card member we want to keep you informed regarding eh condition of your account.  We noticed that your Chase credit Card Account referenced above $21.00 is past due. 

I/we have never had a Chase Credit card in our lives.  This looks like it might be a

'usage' or non-usage charge.   Nowhere can I find a straight-forward link on their website to even dispute this  nightmare

clear up this error

Check your credit report to make sure that you do not have a chase credit card.You can check this free a least once a year on line. Many banks have merged and you may not know who owns your oldcredit cards. Info is mailed out, but if you are like me you do not read everything that comes in the mail. If this is on your credit report as a late payment it may bea usage fee, or it may be fraudcontact the bank. You can locate any phone numbers you may need on line. Try and resolve this issue with the bank. If you are not able to do this file a report w/the OCC. You can also find this info on line.They will walk you through what you need to do to clear this up. It is important that you follow up on the email you received. DO NOT RESPOND TO THE EMAIL as it may be someone trying to get your info. Investigate it yourself. If you follow these steps you should have no problems.
