I joined on line 3 May 04, with a close out by midnight last chance deal. They offered a 5 year membership for 74.95 promising to match any airfare or refund your money. The special offer was join by midnight and spouse would be included free. For additional 24.95 you would get lifetime membership for both and guaranteed cheapest tickets available. I sent credit card information to get the great deal for $99.90.

Today 17 May 04,I recieved my creditcard bill and was charged $119.95 by ACA.CHEAPTRIPS.COM 800-383-7667. RIPOFF

After receiving membership letter and pin number I contacted as instructed for airline tickets.
Also on line now promotional offer for cheaptrips changed. Join now you and your spouse for $74.95 for lifetime membership and recieve 2 free airline tickets.

Logging on to the Cheaptrips.com/ACA for airline pricing I called 800-933-3065 and spoke with the clerk. Joanne informed me I must call another number for ticket request. She became rude when I question about the promotional change for the cheaper membership and free tickets. Joanne said that was my problem and they would not authorize any changes.

I then called the next number for booking tickets and spoke withn a man. Asking for tickets from Frankfurt Germany to Tenerife, Canary Islands. He offered airfare for two passanger for $225.00 each ticket plus $99.95 taxes per ticket. $324.95 total $649.90.

I found online ticket pricing for $579.00 on the same airline and same flight while on the phone with the clerk. I requested he match the price as the contracted/agreement said when I joined. I was rebuked and told the ticket was not available for the price I quoted because the internet was 30 minute delay. All tickets were sold and I was wrong. He refused to book my flight for the $649.90 price because I was going to book online for the $579.00 quote.

I then called customer service and spoke with Debbie Skipper who then passed me to supervisor Lesley Peterson (Lpeterson@cheaptrips.com 856-424-3232). She then listened to my concerns and instructed me to send email explaing the problem and she would work the issue.

My request to Lesley was a full refund. She told me I needed to send an email to the refund department at refund@cheaptrips.com and they would look into my case.

I spent over 90 minutes on the telephone trying to resolve the issue and feel I made little progress. I was paying for a phone call from Heidelberg, Germany to where ever I called.

I am in the military and feel this is a terrible way to treat service members at this time with all going on in the world.
