Don't sign up for their subscription service (if you ever want to cancel, that is). I had to call my credit card and block them from further charges, because each time I cancelled, the charges would stop, then start again a couple of months later. And they won't admit their mistake or process a refund. Here's my story: In October 2017 I used one of the blow drys from my subscription and realized I was racking up blow drys way faster than I could use them, because I was no longer living in miami. I let the front desk person know that I had moved to Colorado and would not need the service so regularly anymore and that I would just cancel the subscription. She said she would stop the account charges but that I could still use my remaining blow dries when I was in town visiting. The charges were suspended as requested -- no charge in November and no charge in December.

Somehow, in January, the charges resumed, without my authorization. I did not notice the charges until late April/early May, when I called and alerted their front desk staff what had happened. She was very nice and wanted to help and ASSURED me that the charges were now DEFINITELY cancelled and she was working on getting a refund for the charges in January, February, March and April. I never heard back, despite calling and leaving messages. Then I got busy and forgot about the refund.

This month (July 2018) I was reviewing my credit card statements and AGAIN the charge was back on my card in June! I called the salon again, and this time requested the manager, who I expected to be eager to correct what is very obviously a big mistake on their end. How could this be possible -- the recurring charges starting up for the 3rd time? Instead he (Joe) argued with me, saying I must not have signed the correct paper -- 9 months ago back in October. Now remember, I canceled in PERSON at the salon. If they asked me to sign a paper, then I must have done so. Besides -- how am I supposed to know what THEIR cancellation process is?

In any case, Keep in mind that I must have cancelled because somehow my charges were suspended for 2 months (November and December) and then started up again (mysteriously) in January. It seems to me that what keeps happening is that every time I go in for one of my "banked" blow drys (and maybe because I use my saved credit card for the tip?) that they are reactivating my subscription WITHOUT MY CONSENT. Maybe this is simply a tech glitch, that's totally conceivable. Perhaps every time I say "yes, use my saved card for the tip, it requires them to reauthorize my card"? I could totally understand that. However this company's BEHAVIOR (in particular the manager, Joe) around this situation and unwillingness to correct it is unethical and lacking in integrity.

Furthermore, when I wrote to him via email to explain all of this, he wrote back reiterating that he would not refund all of the unauthorized charges AND that if I cancelled that I would not be able to use the "banked" blowdrys that I had accumulated in the months BEFORE October when I originally cancelled. As of that time I had 9 blow drys and have used maybe 3 of them, so in addition to HUNDREDS of dollars in unauthorized (fraudulent) charges, I would also lose all of the blow drys that I did intentionally pay for. It amazes me that people like this can be left in charge of a business that rests on customer service. I have been treated extremely poorly, when instead they should be trying to make this right. I posted a similar review to this on yelp and within 24 hours of posting, 2 people reached out to me saying they had similarly bad experiences with this company. This seems to be a pattern of bad and unethical business practices.
