We contacted CSS Childrens Service Society in Salt Lake City to help us witha Foster and Adoption Process. We completed all required classes and training required by the state all back ground check, All we needed was the homestudy done. On Aug 8 2016 2 people from CSS came to do our home study one lady was nice, the other L.E. was very rude and seemed to be on a power trip and was upset we went so far through the process so far without her approval. We were only doing what we were told by DCFS and Utah foster care. So we were told there were several items holding up our homestudy approval, So we fixed those issues and I called and requested a new homestudy was told they would get back to me. A few days Later L.E. calls me says she feels she cant now approve our homestudy for new reasons.  First that we havent been married long enough which isnt a requirement of the state of utah only  that you be legally married. 2nd  that we need marriage couseling. we have a great marriage and this seemed completely insane reason to us, and that my wife takes xanax sometimes for sleep she might have issues and may need therapy. So were were told if we do marriage couseling and my wife does pyscho therapy for a  year they would reconcider.  So my wife and I are both professionally employed. no criminal history, no domestic or family disputes or police incidents. non smoking, non drinking, non drug use. go to church regularly. pretty much normal. But to this person we seem like two wack jobs or something.L.E. Also took a check on the first meeting at our home for $1450.00 which we havent gotten back and they have not done anything except cause us hurt, heartache to us and our prospective adoptive child and caused deformation to our character.  This L.E.  comes off likes shes smarter then everyone else because she has a masters degree and everyone else is ignorant and without her we wont be successful.  STAY AWAY from this company. I found out later there are better choices for fostering and adoption, Call utah foster care and DCFS first. Dont use internet!!!!! Save your self the frustration and pain and money!!!
