Choice Hotel ECONOLODGE Tillmans Cornor ripoff, Rude, and Ridiculous Choice Hotel. Never stay at a NIGHTMARE Econo lodge Mobile Alabama

I Took a trip to Mobile, AL for a couple of days only to check into a NIGHTMARE hotel. This was my first time staying in an Econolodge, and I only picked the hotel because it was closer to Dauphin Island where I would be traveling to, and it looked to be a pretty nice hotel. This was the worst experience that I've ever had at a hotel that cost just as much as staying at the Holiday Inn or The Airport Plaza which were a few miles further from the island.

When I checked into the Hotel I asked the night manager to let me look at a room to see if it was as nice as the outside appearance of the hotel, and he gave me the key to room 205, it was a nice room, but after I payed for the room he gave me a key to room 210, because he said it was already rented out for the next night. I asked him to let me go check out this room 217 also,to find the room on the backside of the building in a dark WOODED area, only to find that the windows will NOT lock, so I went down and asked the manager to move to the front side of the building and he moved me to room 217, which was not clean the floor needed vacuuming and there was a dirty ring in the tub.

The very next morning which was going to be our check out day, after having gone fishing 8:00 pm on thursday afternoon until 6:00AM Friday morning, at 10:30 in the morning the housekeepers were BEATING on the door I said just a minute,and I called to the front desk to ask for an extension the girl(Carla) told me she could give me one until 11:30,30 minutes past check out time,then she called me right back and said extensions were for emergencies only not for me to lay up in the room and sleep. I jumped up and went down stairs because it was not even 11:00(check out time),and I asked to speak to the manager and she told me that the manager was gone and that she was in charge and she would give me 5 minutes to get out and she called the police.

My problem is not with her not being able to give an extention but with UNPROFESSIONAL way that she handled the situation. I travel a lot,and this is the first time that I've ever been kicked out of a room, because some lazy housekeeper didn't want to work 5 minutes over.I WILL NEVER EVER STAY IN A CHOICE HOTEL EVER AGAIN!!!! I am going to discourage everyone I know from staying in a choice hotel.
