Chris Deming Cascada Azul Renting a filthy uninhabitable villa Cascada Azul. Baru. Costa Rica Internet

 We arrived at villa number 8 in baru Costa Rica on December 20 2014. Upon arrival we were let in by Chris demings father who proceeded to be in a rush to go over the villa and amenities offered to us. When we brought our luggage in we noticed immediately that the villa was in a rough state. There was garbage from previous clients still in the trash can,hair balls of cat fur on the kitchen tile floor,mold on shower door,mold on bathing loungers,fragments of food on stove,in fridge and in kitchen sink. Someone had even ran their fingers down the armoir in the bedroom showing the dirt and dust on the furniture. The pool showed serious signs of neglect as well as the surrounding property. The cats outside kept running into the villa every chance they got when door was opened. We contacted the property manager and voiced our concerns. He waited till the next morning to come back and try to apologize for the condition of the villa but my wife and I had been so disgusted with the condition of the villa that we informed him we could not stay in this villa with all of this issues. As we slept thru the night we were continually being bitten by what we suspect was bed bugs. That was definitely the final straw. When we asked for a full refund he informed us there was a strict no refund policy. REALLY. I don't recall agreeing to rent a filthy villa. We booked thru the travel site Homeaway which represents this scrupulous owner and they as well would not secure a refund for us. We took 31 pictures of the uncleanliness of this villa but to no avail.
