As it turned out, my husband had a good friend who worked for one of the lenders she was talking to. When we told her this and asked if it would help to get him involved and maybe save us some money, she immediately became very upset and curt with us. She stood up, started to leave and said If we mentioned this potential transaction to anybody, she would make sure we would never get financed through any bank and would absolutely tell other lenders that we were a hassle and not to deal with us.
This woman is obviously a not on the level. We contacted the Better Business Bureau and they said there are many people out there who do things like this.
You should not trust this woman. She is very nice and friendly, but she is a scam artist.
