You mentioned you are a “driver”, I would assume that would be a heavy vehicle operator? And you obviously want to stay anonymous?

Yes I do pull over Heavy Vehicles or “Truckies” as you like to put it. You see, that is a very important part of my job. The most important aspect of this position is Road Safety; and if I do not intercept heavy vehicles, I am unable to for fill my obligations not only to my employer, but the general public alike, thus trying to create a safer road network for you to travel on.

I understand heavy vehicle operators and drivers are just trying to earn a living, as we all must do, but wouldn’t you think to have a safer road network is better for everyone? After all, the most important person is you. We all want to get home in one piece to our loved ones.

As all heavy vehicle operators and drivers know, you will not get a fine unless there is intent to commit a crime. Some offences are of a strict liability type but that is why we have courts. In most cases a Formal Warning will be issued.

I reference to using my job to “stand over“ the public…..I am sure you are aware that there are policies and procedures in place so this does not happen. This would include the Code of Conduct and Ethics. If this were to happen there would be no question of disciplinary action.

Now, let‘s talk about the cameras. Yes I do have cameras around my land; this is for a number of reasons. Unfortunately there are some people around that like to do unspeakable things like damage vehicles or toys, take things or even stalk people, so having electronics like this helps to provide a safer and more comfortable living area for my family. I don’t think there is anything wrong with that, do you?

If you feel you have been treated harshly at some time or another, there are avenues which you can make a formal complaint to the Roads and Maritime Services of New South Wales, and matter will be investigated. Although it does make me wonder you posted this in another country and anonymously.

I am sure there are people that do not like me and I will just have to live with that, I did not take this position to win friends as you would know.
