I noticed that $80 was debited from my checking account to this CIC place, whom I had never heard of. Ends up, that a little over a month ago, I checked out a free credit report website...But found out shortly that they give you a free credit report of no information and so I left. Ends up that in all those pages, I got hooked up with a service that was hidden and when I did not cancel it in 30 days...they charged me $80.

I fumed when I found out through this site how many people got hooked. I called the criminals and without raising my voice, told them to remove those charges, cancel that service and ensure that I am credited and then leave me alone.

They complied. Without a fight. I actually felt bad for that guy who probably does that all day long.
