CIC Credit Monitoring Service ripoff Free 30 day credit trial turns into 79.95 charge on your credit card months later Orange California

CIC Credit Monitoring Services has a pop up ad revealing a 30 day free trial to view your credit report online. I ordered that free trial using my credit card, and i just got slapped a $79.95 charge on my account. Todays date is June 7, 2004. I ordered that report January 27th, 2004, and the trial ended February 27th, 2004, and I have just printed out the records to prove it.

Almost four months have gone by, and just now I am getting the charge! That is insane. I am disputing the charge with my credit card company, and WILL get my money back, but i will have to close that account so this company can't charge that account ever again! This is a pain.

Trying to dispute this with the company has not been successful at all. Basically, people, you can't cancel your order, nor dispute it with them.

I only found out about this charge today when I looked at my account online, and saw this charge not knowing where it came from. I did not recognize the name CIC Credit Monitoring, I only knew them as consumerinfo.com. When I did the search, ripoffreport.com came up and I saw I wasn't the only one.

This isn't fair... we have got to stop this!
