Citimortgage, Inc. will not return our phone calls or take a payment Gaithersburg Maryland

Citimortgage has been nothing but a problem for my husband and I. Let me start from the beginning. My husbands work started to slow down in a major way aprox. 4 months ago about the same time we had our 3rd child. My husband works for a large Steel company and with the economy as it is, he like many people are being cut back. We filled out a "hardship packet" ,which you can print off on the Citimortgage website, and faxed it in along with the required check stub and information. Aprox. 3 weeks later we received a letter saying that they received our packet and we would be notified in 30-45 days of there decission. That was in December.....we STILL have not recieved a phone call or letter giving us the status of our hardship application. Everytime we call the 800 number it goes straight to the voicemail of Douglas Berry (they tell us he is our loan counselor). We have left MULTIPLE messages to please return our phone call. I have talked to other representatives who can't seem to tell me anything about our hardship application. I have also left a message for a manager who also has not returned our phone call. We recieved a letter today saying our house would be forclosed on if we didn't get caught up. So i called to try to make a thousand dollar payment to reduce what we owe. I was told that I couldn't make a thousand dollar payment, that I wouldn't be able to make a payment unless I post dated another check for $888.00. When I told the lady I couldn't do that she said she would have to get approval from Mr. Berry, she of course was having trouble getting ahold of him and I got "disconnected". We are at our wits end! We aren't sure what else to do. They are threatening to take our house, they said they could help and now we can't get anyone to return our calls or tell us the status of our hardship packet (which could save our house!) Today Mr. Berry's voicemail said "if you have already left a message, do not leave a duplicate! obviously they have a high call volume.....but how can they take our house without giving us a chance. It feels like they WANT it! We are going to fight this...WHATEVER it takes!
