City Auto Auction The Deception And Dishonestness of City Auto Auction Harvey Illinois

Incident

I went to city auto auction in Harvey, IL on 1-26-08 and found this car (2000 Chrysler 300m that I bid on for $3300.00). So I put $800.00 deposit down on the car. After all their fees I was told that the total amount would be $4715.00 which is outrageous. At that I was told to come back at 4:30pm to get the car, this was at about 2:00. I got their at 4:30pm and didn't get out till 7:15pm. I was mad that I had to pay so much more for a car that I didn't know that much about. I told them that I wasn't going to buy the car. I went home that night and went on www.carfax.com to check out the history on the car before I purchased it. Better being $800.00 out then $5715.00. The results in the car said that the car was ok with a possibility of miles under 100,000 which they were. So I went back to buy the car on what carfax.com said. I got into the car and found out that the airbag was missing head light didn't work, break lights didn't work, and the wipers were almost gone. I went to purchase new wipers, got back to the car and the car didn't start just clicked like alternator or starter is bad, but finally got car started. I got home and turned off car. When I woke up in the morning the car wouldn't start. I was hoping to get a nice car from a place that has decent cars.

Damage Resulting

I have a bad car that has problems. I had to put the car in the shop for with the price range of $500.00 and $550.00 dollars (don't know amount because it's still in shop). I Think that the airbag was taken out with the fear that someone sitting in front seat might not live if in car accident. I was starting a second job that I can't because I don't have my car to go back and forth to work. I have no trust in the car auction area at all.
