OK, I read all the complaints, and I kept them in mind when I went to this place. First of all, someone named "Jake" talked to me, said I was approved of a $9,000 auto loan.... the bank was cool with everything I submitted, and this joker says to me.. it will only take 1 hour, and 1/2 of that will be looking at cars. OK, fine. I told him I didnt want any of my time wasted because I left work early for this little trip to hell.
I explained to him I did not have a car and would he send someone to pick us up.. well, we had to bus it to DT PDX, and then we were met by a lot man. When we got to the dealership, some other joker came in , saying we needed to fill out an app for the bank. I was stumped..Why would I need to do this again?
Something about it being in their handwriting, etc...I went to the rest room, and when I came out... he was having my wife fill out a credit app..I stopped that action pretty quick.. he stormed out the door.. and we were met by ANOTHER salesman.. Marc.. I could start to feel something wasnt right... We were looking at cars, and everytime I asked for a price, this guy Marc played? dumb.. I dont know he would respond. Next thing I know he's trying to sell us a $3500 POS (junk). What happened to the $9,000 car?
I guess they deducted $3,000 for every "salesman" I talked to. Nothing like a "bait and switch" routine to liven up your day. Needless to say, after I spent 233.00 on insurance for car I don't have ( hopefully it will be cancelled in 2 days). So the short of this is: Don't go to this place to buy a car....they will scam you, belittle you adn call YOU the liar about the conversations you would have with this respectable businessman...Jake, and Marc.. and the other 3 clowns n that office. By the way... you wont get a price on your car until you have just about signed on the dotted line

In response to this complaint the true story is this gentleman applied online for financing. We had ran his credit and application that he filled out to get him approved. We were willing to pick him and his wife from downtown portland to help get him a car. He had told me that he made $3000 a month and that he had a paystub for proof. His pay stub was fake. He had typed it up himself and tried to scam the bank that he works and has that income. Then to try to help him still we offered to finance him through our personal finance company. He gives a check and we notice that the date is wrong. It ends up that the account had been closed so he was trying to pass off a bogus check. We offered to take him to the bank but he said no.
As far as a bait and switch we had never even spoke about a certain vehicle. This man lied to the bank and us and was upset because he was caught. We went out of our way to even pick him up. We get 75% of our business from repeat customers, we offer warranty, carfax and a 30 day return policy all out of choice not by law just to give our customers peace of mind.

They MAKE you get insurance on a car you don't have, you pick out the car you would LIKE to buy, they give you the VIN.. and guess what... they either want MORE money down that you don't have and again, the money down part was already established before we even went there for the POS (junk) car, or the thing is just a useless junk the wrecking yard would turn down. Needless to say, Im hoping Progressive is a better place to do business than this place.

How did you go looking at cars to spending $233 for insurance on a car you don't have?
