When I first went to purchase a vehicle at this dealership I put a hold on a 2001 PT CRUISER CHRYSLER of $500 on October 26th, 2011 and was told that all I needed was $875 to pick it up by Aaron the salesman. The next day Aaron calls me and tells me I need $1375 in order to pick up the vehicle that they weren't giving me the extra $500 discount. I told him that I already signed a contract and that doesn't make sense and said I would discuss in full when I pick up the vehicle. When I got there it was explained that the contract wasn't a real contract but a pending contract which I was very upset about because that wasn't explained to me by Aaron he said a complete credit check went through and I was approved.

I picked up my 2001 Pt Cruiser from City Select Auto November 26th, 2011 and paid the down payment (after having it on hold for a month) the salesman Anthony told me that the car was good and runs fine, that there were no issues with the vehicle and that the only problem is that the check engine light is on, but its only on because its need a new computer. He stated the codes the computer were showing they checked those things and it wasnt the problem. He said they were going to replace the old computer with a brand new one and that the check engine light should go off and that if it doesn't they will fix any problems with the vehicle but that he was 99% sure that the check engine light would go off.

I came back Dec 16th for them to change the computers and after a 5 hour wait which was suppose to be 2 hours, Anthony said that the key and the computer were not computing and that I had to come back. So I came back the following week and they said the key and the computer were now connecting but the check engine light was still on that the torque converter needed to be fixed and they would fix it and to come at my leisure because the torque converter was not that big of a deal. January 22nd on my way to NYC in the middle of an intersection the car starting to seize up on my and it gave out.

If I hadn't been at a stop light but still on the highway I would have been in a car accident. On January 24th I went to take my car for an oil change and told the mechanics about the issues and they told me that I needed not only an oil change but my transmission needed to be flushed, my air filter replaced my brake pads and rotors replaced because they were at the point of being completely ruined. Even on my way to the mechanic my car was acting up and my car was rolling down a hill backwards in traffic and the acceleration nor the brakes were working, that could of been another accident as well. I told Anthony this over the phone that same day, when I explained my worries he was nonchalant and sarcastic about the problems with the car that were clearly already there but they failed to tell me. He stated that he wish he could look at a vehicle and tell you everything that would be wrong with it in two months and that he didn't know he had to tell me anything was wrong with the brakes because I didn't ask.

To me that was an outlandish remark and the with holding of info for the vehicle could of cost me my life. On the 26th of Jan I took the car to the dealership to get the torque fixed and on my way to the dealership my car seized up on me and was leaking oil and smoking. I was only 15mins away from the dealership. I let the car cool down for an hour and was then forced to drive the car the rest of the way as they wouldn't even pay for the tow to come get me. I only had enough money to get home by public trans (which was a 4 hour commute) as I had no idea I wouldn't be leaving with the car that day as only the torque was needed to be fixed and it would only take the day to do. Now today (jan 30th) they are telling me that the axel is broken and that the transmission needs to be replaced and I have to pay half of that cost. I feel as though they sold me a car that is completely unsafe just to make a quick sale.

Do not purchase anything from them they will lie to you about the safety and function os the vehicle!
