city visas called me a few months ago about a work permit visa for canada. they offered to find me work on a scheme called "gms" which they said was basically a work permit visa and that after 3 months i would have a visa that allowed me to work in canada.
i paid them 400 to start the application and since have heard nothing from them. i get a few job links from them every week. these jobs i am not qualified to do. i did phone up some of these companies and none of them have ever heard of city visas. i think it's a scam
i phoned up several times and people kept hanging up on me, after trying for weeks i was told that i wouldnt get a refund even though i was told there was a refund policy
my friend also applied for a residency visa and paid them 1500 and he has heard nothing back. they took a few documents from him and now he is worried that they may do identity fraud. he had to cancel all his cards
does anyone know how we can get our money back? they dont provide the services they offer and i havent heard a single good thing about them since and no one has ever said they got the visa they applied for

Your comments are full of untruths.....basically you are lying

I have used your service...paid £1700. Your rep left 1/2 through the process (Aqeel Achmed) and sent a generic email to all clinets saying he was living.
When all the people on the email contacted each other 37 out of the 47 clinets were dissatified.
I took cityvisas to court, won based on the Sales of Goods Act. Even though a judge agreed with me, your company still didn't pay me. Judgement was in Jan 2013.
The organisation cannot be trusted...the are immoral.

CITY VISAS RESPONCE IS A LIE

Don't listen to what these conmen are saying - they are lying and only after your money.
I took out their service, paid £1700 and they did nothing. when I asked for the money back, they refused. I took them to court and won based on the Sales and Goods Act. They still haven't paid.
Again, the courts agreed with me - that their service was not fit for purpose. This was after numerous emails and letters.
Don't trust them - they are a con

Respond to Canada woman

This is a response for the woman who wrote her complaint about city visas where they ripped off her husband. you can complain to the Birmingham Trading Standars Authority. They will investigate the company.
People have attempted to sue but their lawyers say its too risky. Also, their company is not in Birmingham, I checked it out, there is no building!!! Horrible, isnt it? I got scammed out of 2000!!!!!!!
Did ur hubby check his credit card compa ny, for a refund if he has insurance maybe? that is so much money!! In the same position as you, they just stopped replying to me!! Its been a little over a mth now!
I am getting worried cos my partner and I send a bloody copy of our passports, so I hope theyre not using indentity fraud :( We were really looking forward to Canada, as I am sure you were excited about your hubby coming to join you!
These people are vicious, pathetic scumbags who steal to make a living. Maybe write into a talk show or radio presenter to publicise?? I am doing that here in Ireland. I cannot and wont let it go. Hope I helped in some way!!!

My husband got ripped off too
AUTHOR: Gizelle Foster - ()
SUBMITTED: Saturday, April 06, 2013
Here's my story:
I want to make a report with regards to City Visas which is
based in Birmingham. I am currently working here in Canada and live here for 3
years now. My husband who is a British Citizen and currently working in London
got ripped off with this company. My husband found out about this company
website and tried their Free Visa Assessment online. He then passed the initial
assessment in Federal Skilled Worker Visa in Canada. After that, he met Mr.
Luke Cutler, a Canadian Immigration Adviser, and offers an advice to my husband
with his visa application.
As my husband who is eager to live and work here in Canada with me, he paid the
full amount of 1500 last January 28, 2013 after knowing that, according to Mr.
Luke Cutler, he is eligible to apply for a Permanent Residency in Canada. After
full research on my behalf if whether my husband is eligible to apply under the
Skilled Worker Visa in Canada, I immediately happened to know that he didn't
get the required points for a skilled worker visa; therefore he is not eligible
to apply for the Canadian Visa at the moment. I, on the same day (January 28,
2013), advised my husband to cancel his contract immediately and get his money
back as he hasnt started with ANY paper-works yet. No documents, no papers
were given out. This only means that my husband NEVER uses their service.
On the same day, my husband cancelled his contract by emailing and phoning Mr.
Luke Cutler and other staff in City Visas. But until now, my husband keeps on
calling and emailing the company and we havent heard any good news from them.
It is our money, and worked so hard for it. So please City Visas / Mr. Luke
Cutler, or whoever is in charge on this matter, give my husband's money back as
we never use any of your services and you have done nothing at all.

I got Ripped off too

I purchased a canada federal skilled visa for 2000 ( Thats a lot of money in Ireland nowadays )
over a month ago. The consultant I was dealing with just dropped off the face of the earth. I emailed her my bloody passport for gods sake. And after that, nothing! that was three weeks ago!
I have been phoning, emailing nothing!!!! Number is invalid! they are eveil, conniving, devious scumbags! Taking peoples money by messing with their heads. Its all psychological they target younger people who are naive and too excited about starting a new life to worry about the risks as such. Its absolutely horrific. Digusting, your hard earned cash going to these thieves, them spending it on whatever they want!
So, I looked over the receipt they sent and turns out that Allied Wallet was the payment processor. As soon as I researched Allied Wallet I see they are being investiagted by the FBI!!!!
I'm taking legal action, the money is a huge loss, I am broke!! But also the principle behind it, I emailed either they issue a refund or if not, I will fight til they face jail time.
I'm hell bent on this, I will not give up without a fight.
Steer Clear. Thieveing people. I feel sorry if they have kids. They would be so ASHAMED.

Don't Trust These scam artists. Don't waste your money. Find an agent in your city and have him/her apply on your behalf. At least if he decides to screw you, you can always go back to the office and bug them.

Dear Client
We would firstly like to apologise for any convenience this has caused you. City Visas takes complaints very seriously.
We would like to take the opportunity to find out the full story and find out why you have been treated in such a way. The Global Mobility Scheme was a scheme that the company provided which offered information and guidance on how to look for work in Canada in order to obtain a work permit visa for Canada. We do not accept that this is a "fake visa" and would be very keen to speak to you about this in further detail. Furthermore you have alleged that company is a "scam" again these statements made are defamatory and we as a company wish to prove they are incorrect.
If you can contact us with your full name and Email address we would like to find out why you never received a service you were happy with. We have record of every single consultation that has taken place and can talk through your case with you and what you are unhappy about.
With regard to your friend that has applied for a federal skilled visa, we can confirm that we process many federal visas monthly and have no issues with this and we certainly do not wish for them to feel in any way worried about taking on our services. We would also like to speak to your friend so that we can understand why they feel they have been contacted.
City Visas offers one of the best services in relation to Canadian emigration and we sincerely apologise for any distress caused to you and would be more than happy to offer you a full refund if we have evidence that you never received a consultation.
Please contact us on feedback@cityvisas.com quoting this website and we will have someone contact you via telephone to take this matter forward.
As mentioned all complaints are taken very seriously and dealt with in line with our company policy which can also be shared with you.
We look forward to hearing from you
