Long distance calling service stopped working, the company makes it impossible to get through to customer service or even to cancel service putting customers in an email loop - they reject all communications.

I began using their deferred line service as it was low price and worked well, and whenever I had an issue, they had on their website all the necessary information to get customer support. The service was never wonderful, but convenient enough to keep it. A few weeks ago the service became unusable, with terrible connection. I didn't have time to check on it, but one day I also realized that they had started charging me instead of 14.99 a month, 16.99 a month, with no warning that the rate was increasing. It turns out, that the rate didn't increase, but they started to charge $2 with no description at all - doesn't talk about taxes, or anything else.

Today I had some time to call customer service, as I used to do, but found that they only accept inquiries through a web form. When you finish entering the data in the form, a window comes up saying that they detected some articles that might answer the question. The articles don't offer any solution, and after reading them, you don't have the option to send the email anyway. After trying and looking in their website for a while, I decided to simply close my account. No option to do that at all. Not through my account details, not through any other tool, and when I try the form email, it just shows a message saying that they are sorry to see me go, and if I still want to close my account to click in a link which will take me back to the email form which... guess what? will make me go through the whole ridiculous string of screens again. I will wait until I can talk to my bank and block them from making any withdrawals from my account, possibly just change my debit card all together, but they are still ripping people off by adding bogus charges and offering no way to cancel service. They sell calling cards, recharge credit in cell phones, etc. I used to recommend them, but I guess they've fallen in the wrong hands and this is not a serious business anymore. It's just a way to slowly take money out of your credit/debit card. I don't want such people to have access to my information, and they shouldn't have access to anyone else's.
