CNN The idiots in the media and why nobody wants to drive a truck? The answer is simple ..we have seen our pay cut by more then 30% over last 13 yrs due to gov't regulations and greedy owners! commercial drivers pay substantially lower over last 14 years yet time away from home and work load greater everywhere usa Nationwide

The problem is politicians and lobbyists that love the big friends they have in the trucking industry are helping them screw their employees. The only way Big trucking companies can increase your bottom line in a very short period time is the screw the driver because they can't charge their customers more for shipping. Any driver that drives over the road should be paid at minimum of the hundred thousand dollars given the fact that they did not get to spend time with your family given the fact that they do not get to sleep in her own bed.

They did not get to watch their own TV at home with their family.

They do not get to have meals every night with their family.

They do not get to watch their kids grow up 

They have to deal with dispatchers constantly cramming more work down there throat at a minim pay. Dispatchers for the most part treat the drivers like they are a necessary evil. If it wasn't for the drivers nothing would move in this country. Companies constantly wanting to put recap tires On their 80,000 pound trucks Because they are cheaper. What does it do to the person in their own car behind at 80,000 pound truck when it loses a tire that falls apart on the freeway ??

The problem we have in this country is lobbyists they're constantly trying to get last past that put larger amounts of profit in corporate American trucking companies Pockets.

Another problem in the trucking industry is that many trucking companies will  put any idiot behind the wheel of an 80,000 pound vehicle Handling hazardous materials or concrete bricks it doesn't matter. Big companies what drivers to live like pigs in the cabs of these trucks constantly keeping the truck moving.

They care about cheap tires they care about cheap fuel care about cheap trucks with Over 1,000,000 miles on the truck when it's completely wore out. Because they're too cheap to buy new trucks.

Truckers need to ban together and start working less hours slow things down a little bit. They need to start exposing the politicians and lobbyists that are getting the government to allow trucking companies to screw the drivers. If you want to do some good start exposing the politicians Democrat and Republican and a lobbyist that are helping the big trucking companies screw the drivers.

Good qualified commercial truck drivers should be making double what They are currently getting paid. If I were you I would encourage your husband and all of his trucking buddies to start posting complaints on this website about their stories. Trust me no trucking company can ever get reports removed off of this website from what I have been told.

Just the thought of three guys living in one truck is ridiculous They want to continue to treat the drivers like rats in the cage.  I say tell the company to stick it.
