Hi there at ripoff,

My name is Ellen and we had taken this free trip we got offered over the phone to Branson Missouri. Well it's mighty pretty and cool over there but we were ripped off I think.

We went on our vaction and was treated to the best hotels and such as that and we had to go to this vacation marketing talk for about half a day, listening to them say how their vacations and packaged plans sounded so good.

Well right then we should have walked out but I wouldn't be writing this letter if we had. You know how people say if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Well we fell hook, line and sinker as they say for what reason I'm not sure but that's beside the point.

Well we listened to their speil and it did sound good.
WE are supposed to get discount trips in good hotels and cruises and maybe we will, who knows but the only thing we have gotten back from MVI marketing is more offers of things.

We ended up getting one of their packages which cost us a great deal of money over two thousand Amerian dollars and the day we were in there, they said "they had run out of their information packages" and we would have to be mailed one by snail mail. OK, maybe they had and maybe they didn't who knows but when we got home we did not find any travel pkg of any sort and had to call them to get that.

We had the # on our paperwork. Well they sent one out to us and we have looked at it and mailed the paperwork that was in there to them so it could be processed and I think they're giving us the run around.

I have called numerous times and talked to a lady named Niki and Terrine, and others I'm sure but I haven't heard anything back from any of them about it. I have talked with Surrey and with a place called Ice Gallery vacations, they're the ones we're supposed to get a cruise from.

Ice Galleries had a vacation certificate on with grand getaways ads and as usual they sound good till you try and redeem them.

Here we're thinking we will get this nice trip for discount and x-cited about going but you know what! We haven't heard from them and haven't been sent any kind of itinerary at all and you know what also!! Now it's too late and my daughter is getting ready to go back to school and we don't have any time left cause nobody called or sent anything back to us. They took our money and we get nothing, that's the screwed up people I've ever seen. They have way too many irons in the fire or way too many people doing different things like taking money away from good folks like us.

Well there's more but I'm tired of all the runaround and talking to so many different people is really confusing too but I wasn't born yesterday either. Each one of these places has a different story every time I call them and they tell me that I need some kind of membership # which we have and it does work at their website, which by the way is suprising.

All they seem to do is take people for money and not deliver the product of travel as of this writing from me anyway, and by the look of things I read some of the reports from other people who must have fallen for the same thing we did. I read good and bad, but we haven't heard Jack**** from anyone and as you can see I am quite upset.

OK well enough of my rambling. I hope we will get reimbursed or a trip at a later point or something but that will be very slim. Thanks for listening and if you all can help in any way it sure would be great, but if you can't I have to continue my fight to get what was promised and not delivered.

NOTE: Rip-off Report launched a complete investigation on this particular situation and found that Mini Vacations had no control over promises another company makes when marketing their vacation coupons. Even though Mini Vacations is not responsible for another company's actions, they have been giving FULL refunds to anyone who has contacted them, and has even given more than they should have in the name of good customer service
