Cobra / Appco very misleading and many many lies plymouth, Internet

hi all!! anyone who is thinking of joining the appco/cobra door to door sales team i think you should have read of this first!!

i worked in the plymouth one for eight months, i made a lot of sales in my time there doing charity 10.00 a month donations and even reach double figures in a single day, at the time i was on top of the world thinking how much money i was making.

only when i got tired of being out in the cold til 9.30 at night and missed seeing my friends did i stop and think, when i worked out how much money i made, (bearing in mind i did 20 plus sales per week) it turned out i was only making about 3 pound an hour when taking out the takeaway food you have to eat as ur always on the go, the cost of petrol each day was five pounds and thats without travel expenses.

many of our sales at the office would 'fail' for varied reasons and so many of us would not get paid anywhere near what we were supposed to have made that week.

they constantly lied, they lied to me in the interview saying we dont start until 11 and we finish at 8, when i started i found out the hours were 10am until 10.30pm and that doesnt include ur travel to work and back time.

in the six months working there, i saw five relationships break up because of the long hours and stress involved, many people falling out with their parents.

i trained many people, decent people who could easily 'ring the bell' in a single day, however if they were given a tough territory ie somewhere that had been already worked many times recently or somewhere very poor, i was told by my leader to lie to them, say they had 'lost their attitude' or didnt 'play the numbers game'

i saw numerous people being constantly lied to and exploited and in the end, i decided to leave.

two months later and not even for a second have i regretted leaving, i still speak to all my old work mates and find it so sad when they tell me about their work, it hasnt changed one bit since i left. they make no sales one day and say they 'negged out' when actually they were in the centre of plymouth which is seen a lot.

i feel very sorry for these people and pray one day theyll open theyre eyes! if ur thinking of joining 'motion marketing' in plymouth, i beg you not to! it was fun for the first two months almost addictive but after that youre completely brainwashed and find it very difficult to leave as ur guilted into staying.
