I am a disabled Iraq Veteran that suffers from a head injury. I only menition it because of memory issues and comprehension problems which got me in this mess. I bought my Mercades Benz after my old car was destroyed in hurricane Sandy in 2012. My Audio system was also destroyed in Sandy. So I went to Cocoa Car Audio in Cocoa Florida.

I bought a 1000 watt amp along with two 12' R3. along with a small crossover amp. It came 1,600.00 including install. Which I thought was a fair price. They didn't have a working debit machine. It happens so I went to the bank and got the money. I was left and was told that they would call me when the car was ready. They didn't get done until the end of the work day and it took me time to get there because I had to catch a cab. I got there and my car was pulled up front in the drive way of the shop. everyone was gone but two people. The guy turned on the system and it sounded good. The very next day I noticed that that the speakers would make a loud nosie when I turned the car off. then out of the blue there was no sound from the sub woofers. I take the car back within the first week and was told the speakers was blown. I was told it was because I turned the volume up to loud. that I have to break them in until half volume. I was told that I would have to buy another set of speakers. So I buy the next grade up of speakers for 179.00 each. I asked for a receipt for the things I have bought he side tracked me conversation and gave me 20 dollars I ask for receipts before and after this time but I wrote in my note book this particular time.  I can't say with complete honesty about the other times I ask for a receipt. It happens again the blow within the first week I go back in and I am pissed. Because I didn't blast the volume. Then they said that they would send these speakers back into Phoenix Gold. But it would take serval weeks. So I bought another set of less expensive Memphis speakers 222.00 for the set. they blow too. I come back they now tell me its the box that I have. Which was an expensive box that they themselves picked out the speakers to put in the box. Never the less I was blamed and had to pay again. At this ponit I am waiting for the 400 dollar speakers to come back. I had to buy a another box along with another set of Phoenix Gold speakers this Time I got the R2 in a new box. No more than a week goes buy and again they blow. After spending 3,000 I take it to another place and was told the system was installed wrong. That there should have never been feed back and the speakers shouldn't be popping when I turned the car off. I was also told the speakers were mismatched with the amp. After being blamed and charged, I just didn't say anything until I got my receipts and speakers back from Phoenix Glod just one set mind you. After months of waiting and calling a dozen times I did get one set of speakers back 6 months later. I asked car audio to have thereceipts emailed to me

I then emailed the Phoenix Gold company then explained that I have a car garage full of there speakers and a system that don work. I didn't tell them the store I bought the system from until I got the receipts but I gave them the serial numbers. of the speakers I did have. They looked up the serial numbers and called the store because they tracked who phoenix gold sold them too. They called the store told them I was trying to get the speakers repaired and that I told them the system wasn't put in correctly. So when I called the store they told me Phonix Gold called them about me letting them know I complained and that they would fax the receipts then they would only give me the receipts for the speakers I replaced the Phoenix Gold with but said they couldn't find any receipts for the system I bought from them. They could only find the memphis speakers and window tint and box I bought. I then emailed Phoenix Gold and ask them they knew I bought the speakers from car audio because they discussed the issue with the store plus the serial numbers is how they knew that they sold the speakers to that store. Phoenix Gold writes back they just called to ask the store to get me the receipts but really they told them not to give me the receipts by calling the store letting them know I was trying to get the speakers fixed and I can prove it with emails. So both these companies are a scam to get out of warranties.
