I agree with most of what is being said on the reviews in different websites about this company, however, to me this report is what best describes them so far, there is absolutely no need to pay an absurd amount of money for resources that you can find on your own with some assistance of school counselors services.

In a different website I saw only one favorable review comparing their services with tax preparation/advising services really faulty. Although, being a tax professional myself, I do agree that specialized advise can be very useful, I also say that tax services deal with as much as information and legislation knowledge, if not more, than a college admission assistance service would deal WITHOUT charging the ludicrous fee this company does. Also, usually known and reputable tax companies and professionals are way more transparent on their business practices, and customers seem to have more time on deciding with whom, where, when, and how take care of their taxes. That's the reason why I think the analogy does not apply at all in here.

With all that said, what I got really concerned about this company is HOW they got access to my child's information, since I am very cautious whenever providing my child's information. I really did not sign for anything like that. When I called them to get my child's name out of their listing, I inquired on how did they obtained our information and I was told that it was from the same listings the colleges get or from some testing my child has taken like SAT, etc. When I responded that I did not provide any information or initiated any inquiries to colleges, and that my child did not take any testing except the state and school district mandatory tests she simply replied "Well, then I don't know". To that I continued: "OK, can you transfer me then to someone who knows?" and she responded I would have to send a written request to the address on the bottom of the invitation letter. What I will do, but really? With EVERYTHING, I mean EVERYTHING taking place online these days, that is the only way to get that? I will send a registered letter, but honestly, I don't trust I will ever get a response from them.

When I asked to have my child's name removed from the list she said she could do so and told me she did. I can only hope she did it.
