Columbia House Video Sending me bills for dvd's I did'nt buy with some other persons name on the bill I returned the bills saying "no one here by that name" told them on the phone more than once now a collection company is calling me for them and still harassing me and it's not my name on the bill Ripoff Toronto Ontario Canada

I was getting bills from columbia house video with some other persons name on it I kept returning them as "no one lives here by that name" but they continued to harass me I called and asked them to stop they said they would remove my adress from there computer but now I got a call from some collection agency. Bugging me about the same thing I told them again no one by that name lives here so again they said they would remove my name from the computer. I'm mad as hell what can I do ?

That would be my question. If they failed to get your name using caller ID when you had called them, then you should have to do little more than buy an answering machine and use it to screen for mis-informed bill collectors. But do check your credit report, and try to find out how they got your phone # & address. If you call them again, preface your dialing with *67 to turn off caller ID.
