Comfort Inn Springfield South 3776 S Glenstone Ave, Springfield, MO 65804 Refused my reservation when power was out in my neighborhood, due to "not allowing locals" to book rooms. Had infant daughter, wife and 5 year old with me. Springfield Missouri

I went into the south glenstone location where I've stayed a dozen times.

The front desk clerk could not get my AAA coupon code to work. I told her not to worry about it and that I could just call corporate in the morning. She replied, "in that case, I'm just going to refuse your business now. Besides, we're not supposed to rent to locals." This was after I explained our power was out and that we've stayed there a number of times before.

Regardless of if you have stayed there before, if it is against their policy to rent to locals they are under no obligation to continue to rent to you just because you have stayed there in the past.   

Many hotels do not rent to locals because many times it is that type of guest that causes the most issues.   I do feel for you, but there was several other hotels in the area.  Many of whom appeared to be the same or a bit less expensive if cost is a concern.

But one has to wonder if you are local why have you needed to stay there numerous times in the past?
