Home based travel agency rip-off - Commerical Travel Corp (CTC) / Team Travel Inc ** Team Travel Rebuttal - Victim responds to Rebuttal

We joined Team Travel, Inc. and homebased travel agency on 4/98 paying a fee of $6,995.00 approx 9 months later we were told Team Travel joined with Commerical Travel Corp (CTC), also known as Costa Travel and new contracts were signed.

Things went from bad to worse, the support that was advertised in most cases was inadequate. Their agents were undertrained, there was one agent in particular who was down right rude every time you talked to her. The president of Team Travel, Mr. Art Bond, routinely called and "yelled" at his homebased travel agency members. When Team Travel joined with CTC things got even worse, agents in that office gave out information that was totally inaccurate.

We were terminated without cause by Mr. Art Bond on 12/31/99, although the contract we had was with CTC. Mr. Bond is keeping our $6,995 sign up fee although he terminated us and now to top it off Mr. Bond has stated he is keeping our commissions earned for anyone traveling after the termination date. I would call that out right theft.

If you are thinking about joining a homebased travel agency look into someone besides these two.

Dear Sir:

It is unfortunate that sites such as yours allow unfounded complaints to be posted. You have allow Chuck & Connie Brook to satisfy their desire to continue placing complaints in an environment that does not concerns itself with facts or the truth.

They have filed the same complaint with the Attorney General's Office, Consumer Affairs Office, BBB of Las Vegas and trade publications. All of these organizations investigated their complaint and found they had no substance. All have been closed as "satisfied".

Chuck & Connie Brook have been paid any and all commissions earned by the Terms & Conditions of our Agreement. Additionally, they have blocked all emails from our company, so that they can continue this harassment without allowing us to respond directly to them.

It is our belief that the Brooks' should provide facts to Team Travel, Inc. with regard to commissions owed (we have requested documentation in the past to no avail) or they should not be allowed to post lies to your site or any others.

This is a rebuttal response to the above.

Mr. Bond has not paid all earned commissions. He terminated our contact without cause and told us he would not pay any commission earned after "he" terminated our contract. There are many of us who have been have ripped off by Mr. Bond, go to www.ecomplaints.com, click on "Read Complaints," enter in Team Travel. In regard to the Attorney's Generals Office, the BBB and Consumers Affairs they DID NOT say that the complaints were unfounded or closed as satisfactory. They in fact stated that this was a legal matter and out of their jurisdiction. These offices are understaffed and generally only handle high profile cases.

We have contacted all of the suppliers who owed commissions to us they stated that checks were mailed to CTC/Costa/Mr. Bond (even gave us dates and check #'s). Our monthly checks stopped immediately after Mr. Bond terminated our contact therefore we were never paid. It is very difficult to deal with Mr. Bond on a business level because his method of resolution is to use anger and threats as a way of intimidating and manipulating the outcome of the discussion.
