I was referred to this dentist because I had a tooth ache. They told me I needed a root canal and I got that done. Then they told me I had cavities I my mouth that needed to be filled. I went back in stages I order to get the cavities filled.

At the time I did not know the dangers of amalgam (mercury or silver) fillings. YouTube the video "smoking teeth". They told me that the amalgam would last for a long time but neglected to mention that they contain 45% mercury. I had the fillings placed which were 14 in all. After a while I discovered the dangers of mercury fillings I called them and asked how come they didn't tell me there was mercury in the fillings before they places them?

The receptionist told me that they don't use mercury in their fillings, which was a lie. I called another dentist and asked if their we're any amalgam fillings free of mercury? The answer of course was no, there is no mercury free amalgam fillings. Outraged about how they lied to me I went to the office to get answers and met with Ron Harradine (the one who places them). When I asked him about the mercury he stuck to his lie by saying his amalgam fillings are mercury free. So I asked to see the materials build sheet. Sure enough it said made with 45% mercury. Also it said that mercury is a known neurotoxin and they this product may could cause health problems.

I asked why he lied and he began to get fidgety. I could tell he was trying to cover himself so told me its safe once in the mouth and and began to knock the composite fillings. Now my thing is why lie about the mercury being on the fillings in the first place? This showed me just how unknowledgeable he is about what is going in his patients mouths and how it affects them. Having 14 mercury fillings in my mouth at one time is taking a tole on me. I could take maybe one or two but not 14 that is extreme! Later I found out he could have used the composites in the front teeth and a few in the back. However he only mentioned I should use the mercury fillings which are banned in a few countries and other dentist don't even use.

Also they charge for everything! They even charged me to get a copy of my X-rays. Also every time I would pay for them to fill a tooth they would send me another bill saying I still owed certain amounts of money. This happened every time I had something done and having already paid they would send me another bill. Another incident they filled one of my teeth and a week later it began to hurt. I went back and they said I needed a root canal and still tried to charge me for the filling that they clearly messed up.

My advice to anyone considering this dentist to steer clear! They used outdated techniques and are not concerned about your health. Only their pockets. It really made me angry when they lied to me when I asked them something. That's clear proof they only care about themselves. The reason I believe that they didn't recommend other fillings for me is that the amalgam take little skill to place unlike composites or any other type of fillings. I hope no one else chooses to use this dentist.
