I purchased Email-Backup from the WCCL Network 3 weeks ago. I tried in vain and, after many uninstalls/reinstalls, could not get it to work. I immediately contacted the company through their help department (www.myhelphub.com) with less than stellar results. I asked for a refund after my second round of correspondence if they could not identify and fix the problem. They completely ignored my requests and came up with the brilliant idea to uninstall/reinstall the software... I reiterated that I did that and it still did not work. I also contacted the company responsible for processing the orders, SWREG.org, and asked for a refund. They are not very helpful either. I have spent a frustrating 3 weeks and untold emails trying to fix this problem. I doubt they will ever rectify it my my satisfaction.

I suggest consumers avoid this group at all costs. I was lucky enough to charge payment through my Amex card. Amex graciously refunded my money and said that if they get enough complaints from cardholders about them they would ban them from accepting their card.

Also, the so-called tech support personnel use flowery and faux-friendly salutations and closings in their email. Don't fall for that. They still won't refund your money and they won't be able to fix any technical problems!

Thank you for your message, and I'm pleased that the issue was fully resolved.


We don't typically offer refunds on products such as Backup E-mail, as we do offer full trial versions. We also don't state anywhere that we *do* offer refunds for this product.


However, I'm pleased that you were able to get your matter resolved.

WCCL Network Update

I am the customer who posted the complaint: "WCCL / MyHelpHub / Email Backup / SWREG Beware WCCL and MyHelpHub" and I wanted to leave a followup response since I was finally able to resolve this issue and get a refund for the defective software.

It did take some work and a lot of frustration (see my original complaint). I contacted the BBB covering Oregon, I posted a complaint here, I contacted SWREG (they handle the order processing), I contacted the WCCL office in Oregon and, finally contacted Karl Moore directly at karl@karlmoore.com (he gives his email address in one of his complaint rebuttals). Mr. Moore was very gracious and issued me a full refund, even though he claims they are not allowed on the product I purchased. I was not able to get a fix from his tech support staff so I believe it was the correct thing for him to do.

I would like to offer a suggestion to Mr. Moore and his internet companies, post your refund policies prominently on your websites and not hide them in the small print in the agreement. If anyone else out there is having problems with the WCCL Network, I suggest you contact the owner directly. As far as SWREG is concerned, they are the middleman and have a mechanism set up for you to contact the seller but did not assist in resolving this issue beyond that.
