Welcome to my Nightmare!!

Since June 2006, My we bought about $30,000.00 worth of products from Conn's in Baton Rouge, La. Everything had the Extended Warranty!!

On 11/23/07 we bought a 65inch Mitsubishi Model # WD65733 for $2197.92 and we did finance it which gave us a total of $2932.92. Brought it home and setup. everything was GREAT. About 3 weeks into having the TV, it powered off while we were watching a PPV movie and when i powered it back on it gave a message saying something like System power failure.

Anyway it worked fine after that and today 1/26/08 @ 7am i went to power the TV on and POOF no power and some odd sounds coming from the back of the tv.

Called Service Department hotline wand was told by some voice recorder they were closed. So i called the Store i bought it from and spoke with the Manager. I told the manager what happened and asked if i can return it to the store since it was barley 2 months old and was told NO because i have purchased the extended warranty i would have to have a service technician come out to the house to service the tv and they would say if i can or cant get a new tv.

I do not think that is FAIR at all. This TV is BRAND NEW and all of a sudden it craps out!!!

Well i figured i would call customer service and see if they can cut the price since i did buy a brand new piece of crap with an extended warranty. I was transfered to a service department which was supposed to be CLOSED today (From what the voice recorder said)

Spoke with some poor English speaking lady (Who was nice but hard to understand)
She gave me a service date of 2/9/08 I think that is SAD to make someone wait that long to fix a defective product they had NO problem selling.

I asked to speak with her manager who's name is Ottis.. She stated he would call me back. About 20min later i received a call from Ottis who did not really seem to care about my feelings. I stated over and over again this tv is BRAND NEW and it DIED. He replied in what i would call (Smartass Manor) You have a warranty and we will come out to fix it. I stated i would like to have it done on a Saturday because i don't want to miss work over a LEMON product Conn's sold me.

He was once again Mr. Smartass and stated you have a warranty and we will come out to fix it on a saturday. I asked which Saturday, he replied Next Saturday!!

So i guess someone else getting the boot so they can fit me in because i was told by the lady they wouldnt come out till 2/9/08

Now since i had Mr. Service Manager on the phone i figured i would tell him to have the service technician fix my Tractor too since thats about the only thing that didnt crap out on me (Knock on Wood)

Simple thing: REPLACE TV
Hard thing: trying to fix the piece of crap that was sold to me!!!

I take very good care of everything i own, Looks like the day it was purchased and to find all of this out is not fair.

NOW i must admit my Salesman Darrel Henderson was the greatest with helping me select everything i bought from that company. Very nice guy!!!

After this Horror i have come to terms with NEVER BUYING another product from Conn's again!!! Paying off what i owe and never going back there again.

I bought a Washer and Dryer from Sears and i had an issue with my washer. Called Sears and had a Technician come out the very next day. Now Sears may not have the best prices but they products are BETTER and the Service Department is GREAT!!!

WOW just 22 days to fix a tv. Gotta love the service. NEVER BUY FROM CONNS THEIR SERVICE DEPT SUCKS!!!

Call Chris Hall at 409-284-6838. Its his cell number. He's a good guy and really cares about customers. He is in charge of all of Conn's Service.
