This service was to allow an inmate to call home without the outrageous collect call fees. On April 3rd I paid about $39.95 for their "Big 1000 package" and $19.95 SET UP FEE (non-refundable). I was told that once my order was entered that a technician would call me to do the set up and issue a number to be given to my loveone incarcerated.

Approxiamately 5 minutes later I got the call from the tech. He issued a phone number, but that phone number was unable to pass any of his own test to declare it as operational. He then issued a second number, it too was non operational. In my book this means SET UP INCOMPLETE.

According to concallhome.com- what they really mean is PAYMENT and NOT SETUP. Because that is exactly how it went. I PAID but there was NO SETUP ever accomplished.

Immediately, after I get off the phone with the tech, I dialed the number that showed up  on my caller I.D. as the jail 800 number. I called that number because it gives you the website to go unto to purchase minutes. Which is what I did in the beginning. That how I got conscallhome.com as a pop up advertising lower prices. They fail to tell me in the beginning they were not authorized to provide service and therefore was blocked.

Secondly, I called conscallhome customer service number to explain what had just happened with the technician, and also request a reverse payment. The agent said that they could only refund my money after 90 days. They would refund the amount of $39.95. But the setup fee was non refundable.

I had a problem with allowing them to KEEP a SETUP fee of $19.95 for service that was NOT SETUP. They didnt care that I was unable to get service. The agent talked over me, and kept repeating that I signed the terms and conditions. I explained that my undestanding was for a SETUP, but there was no SETUP. There was several ATTEMPTS and I didnot agree to terms and conditions of ATTEMPTS.

After a month I contacted my credit card company and explained why I was disputing the charge of conscallhome. They conducted their investigation. In May I got an email from conscallhome saying congratulations! the FCC has now taken their illegal block off that would NOW allow their service to work. In May I did get a refund from from my credit card company. In August I recieved letter from concallhome for the return of my money, followed by a letter saying I had been placed in collections in the amount of $44.

$44? FOR WHAT?  Somebody help me to sue these people ASAP
