Construction Pipeline claims to be a service to connect Contractors in your area to reputable sub-contractors.   I wouldn't know as I refused to  do business with them.  I have been receiving phone calls and e-mails from them for months and they won't stop calling us.

My husband and i own the business together.  I handle the Office/Business end, and he handles the Jobsites, and Construction end.  His name is the one on documentation as the owner, but in reality we are equal owners in the day to day running of the business.

In the early cluster of phone calls CP's rep pretended that he had a job he wanted a price on, but wouldn't give me any info that would allow me to give a price and wanted to speak directly to "***"  as that was the name of the person he was referred to.  I gave him the appropriate e-mail address, as it is our policy when a caller will not let me assist them.

It wasn't till MANY phone calls had been made, that I figured out what his intent was and I told him no thank you we do not PAY for lead services.  He continued to call.   One afternoon he even said that " I was just on the phone with *** and got cut off can you transfer me"  which was impossible becasue the person in question was sitting next to me at the time having lunch, and we only have the one phone.

No matter how I respond to his questions he requests additional information on how to reach ***.  I explained that i'm the person who makes these decisons so the only way to get to ** is to talk to me first and he replied "ok so i'm talking to you now tell me **'s cell phone number."  He actually came right out and insulted me by stating since i'm not the registered owner what i say doesn't mean anything.

California has a telemarketing law that states if they keep calling after you tell them to stop they can be liable for a fine.   When i informed him of this he stated "Since this is business to business that law doesn't apply to us, so are you gonna give me **'s number now?"

I have made complaints by phone to the phone number on their website.   I have posted complaints on Reveiw sites, and my complaints  KEEP getting removed and/or taken down, all while the phone calls continue.

I am thankful they never got ahold of any of my financial information, because if this is how they get subcontractors, i can only imagine the rest of their business practices.   I will NEVER do business with a company that makes me feel like i'm being stalked by a mobster looking for prtoection payments.   I know it was only phone calls and e-mails, but i feel the sleezy even now an hour later and can easily imagine them doing physical damage if i did not comply if they had been to my business in person.
