Consumer Cellular claims to be no contract service but bills you for months after you remove auto pay and send you to collections Nationwide and In Sears stores Nationwide

People please be aware. Consumer Cellular is a ripoff... They claim to be a no contract cellular service. they prey on the elderly, people of low income. They claim you can use any AT&T phone. I purchased one from Target for $15.00. only to find out it does not work. So I went to the local sears store. the same cheap phone was $30+ dollars there. I purchased it. went through a big hassle with their customer service about porting my number from old service. Nightmare!  Then the service was so crappy I went online and removed the auto pay information. Any other cell phone service would have discontined the no contract service and that would be over with it. Nope this scam outfit charges you for 3 months after you remove the information. or do not pay. This outfit is a scam. Do not use this service. If you need a phone and are very low income look into the free phone service from our government. Now they have sent this account to collections and are trying to ruin my credit.  I wish I would have come here first and read the other people's warnings first. 

Additional warning. They say 30 day trial at no charge. I removed my auto pay information long before the 30 days were up and they still billed me.
