I recived a call in April of 2004 from a company calling themselfs Consumer Grants USA, they told me for a fee of $239.00, withdrawn automatically from my account, they could guarantee me a Government grant for $25,000 dollars or more. I was very suspicious, it sounded too good to be true, but I have recently been diagnosed with cancer (osteosarcoma) and have been told that I only have six months to a year to live. So, seeing as how I could use a little extra money to seek alternitive treatments or just travel and live the rest of my life to the fullest, I figured I would give it a try.

I was given a verification number and their customer service number that I could call to verify the satatis of my shipment. As it turned out, I used the money in my account for other exspences, so when they tried to withdraw it, they couldn't.

About two months latter, on July 1, 2004, I recieved another call from them. They had no record that they had called me before until I gave them the verification number. They told me that number was no good and gave me a new one. I was still willing to give them a shot, (stupid me), so I gave them my info again, and they said my package would arrive about two weeks from the time my account was debited.

On July 8, 2004 the money, $239.00 was debited from my account. I waited the two weeks, and then some, but nothing came. I then called the customer service number. After waiting on hold for nearly an hour and a half, I finally got trough. They asked for my verification number, so I gave it to them. They asked me to wait for a minute, then came back on and asked for more info; name, zip, etc., then told me to wait some more. It seemed like they were having trouble locating my account. Finnally they came back on and told me if my package didn't come by friday, to call back again.

Over the course of the next two months I called four more times. I made sure they had the correct address. They told me twice that they would ship it again, Priority mail, which sould only take 2-3 bussiness days. It still has never arrived.

Finally, today I called and asked for my money back. They told me I would have to wait 8 months or; after I have recieved the package, sent it in, and been denied three times; then I could get my money back. Then I asked to speak to a supervisor. They asked me to wait, then came back on and told me that the supervisor would call me back latter this evening. Yeah right, like that will happen. I gave them my phone number anyway.

Then I decided to search the web and found this site. After reading some of the other complaints, all of which sounded all too familiar, I found one that listed the names of the company management.

I called them back and asked to speak with either of the two Presidents of the Company: Marcus Hooks, and Jim Lovern. They didn't know who I was talking about until I told them they were the Presidents of the company. They then told me to wait. When they came back they said that Marcus Hooks was DEAD, and that Jim would have to call me back. I told them that wasn't going to work, and hung up.

This company is oviously scaming people. I only wish I had seen it sooner. I am willing to do what it takes to see that justice is found for the victims. If anyone has ideas on how that could be done they would be greatly appreciated.
