I had recieved and email for an application for an onyx visa card. I have never had a credit card before so I figured why not. I entered all of the information and was told that they could not accept my application at this time. A few days later while I was checking my bank statement online I noticed a charge of 14.95. I did not currently have enough money in the account so I was charged an overdraft fee of $25.00. I called the bank and they gave me a website to visit of the name listed for the charge. www.consumerbill.com. I went to the website first. The first thing that it asks of you is to agree to its terms and conditions, which means that you are allowing them to take alot of money out of your account. It says it clear as water, right there. I picked no and it refused to let me further into the site. As I tried to exit out of the site a screen popped up and there was a customer service rep trying to get me to agree to the conditions so that we could talk. She gave me a phone number to call so that she could look at my application. I called the phone number and the very first thing that it asked for was my bank account information. It didn't even advertise who I was calling. I immediatley hung up and called my bank. I had to close all of my accounts right away, which was a huge pain because my husband is in the ARMY and I had no way of calling him to tell him that his debit card was invalid, and his paychecks were being automatically deposited into that account. HUGE MESS!!!! Lucky for me, my bank gave me all the money back and I have had no further issues, other then I still recieve about 20 emails a day from black onyx visa. Why cant this website be shut down? What allows them to take all of these peoples money?
