A while back i decided to try content lead, as i needed content for my website. They charge $50 an article.... okay thats fair IF (and only IF) its good content - however there was not one article that I approved initially of and was still charged for every one.  The content was clearly written in no more than 10 minutes (or possible outsourced to india), awful headlines, misspellings, bare minimum content, and incorrect symmantics and punctuation. I was absloutly shocked reading every article that was submitted.

If you do not like an article, you have to rewrite on your own, and then they resubmit your own words for written approval. I ended up rewriting every article and they still charged me and would not let me out of my contract.

As for the contract: its a 3 month contract Before you have 30 days to cancell.... so they trick you into a 4 month contract with fast language. I was told 3 month contract with 30 days to cancell, not "then have 30 days to cancell"  I called off the agreement 2x and they still billed me each time.

Biggest waste of money, and time. This is the ultimate ripoff....

PS - Dan Morris (Dir of Sales) was a total p***k to me (full paying client) every step of the way with condesending remarks, and avoiding any sort of resolution for a service that does not work. He wanted to charge me $3000 for a free wordpress plugin to be installed by his team, because he doesnt allow wordpress webmasters to do it on their own.   Dan morris you are pompus peice of s***.

If interested in content for your website, avoid content lead at all costs and just hire a freelancer or do yourself.

#3 UPDATE Employee ..inside information

We learned from this and improved our process

AUTHOR: CLCustService - ()

POSTED: Monday, August 05, 2013

It’s fair to say that every business has its challenges when it first starts out, and has more than likely taken on a client that in hindsight was not a good fit - and that's definitely the case with this former customer.

When we received the Google Alert about this report, we immediately knew who had written it based on the issues and comments about integration.

The nature of the client's business model, among other things, led to a relationship that presented a lot of challenges to us as we tried to get the project right. Ultimately he was not happy and neither were we, so we agreed to end the relationship in mid 2012 having tried our best to make it work.

Since then we have learned to improve our customer service response, and through natural growth, we've significantly changed the way we work and the markets we serve.

We have subsequently stopped prospecting for businesses like his and have many happy clients that are happy to provide references on request.

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

What you're saying is true

AUTHOR: For real - ()

POSTED: Saturday, June 29, 2013

To the person who posted this originally, please don't take back what you said. It is true. Just because they saw what you wrote and made a quick resolution on order to clear THEIR OWN "good name" it's not about you or trying to make something right. It's about you removing this post. I don't know about you but I can write a paragraph. This whole business is based on writing a short paragraph then positing it on your blog or whatever...LOL.... Give me a break, I can do that in 10 mins On my lunch break. I'm not bitter because I work there. I felt this way the whole time I was there.

the lack of quality in the work is due to the fact that everyone is forced to work 45 hour weeks weeks and encouraged to skip lunch.

Please ignore - issue settled

AUTHOR: Dont rip me off - ()

POSTED: Friday, May 03, 2013

To follow up with my original post, I would like to take back what I said above, both about ContentLead and Dan Morris. I wrote with an amplified frustration and I had no idea that my post could not be removed.  I regret harming the name of an individual, and company.

To update, since my post Dan Morris quickly followed up with me, he was very nice, and we were both quickly able to amicably resolve the issue at hand. He acknowledged that my account was difficult on both sides, mainly because I was one of their early clients (I was a client far before I wrote the post), and their business had some kinks to work out, the growing pains of any company,  and have been told that there are now many different business processes to avoid the problems of the past.

If there was a way to remove my original post I would. I would like to clear my remarks about both Dan and ContentLead. I wrote the above post in a time of resurged frustration, and the situation has now been settled and is behind us.

If you are considering using contentLEAD please ignore my original post.
