Continental American Insurance Agency AFLACcaic Excessive Delay for Short Term Disability Columbia South Carolina

Do not use this company, Use Metlife or another company!! I purchased a short term disability policy from them and recently had surgery. They received the paperwork on 12/7 and on 12/21 I was told that they needed one more item. I provided and on 12/22 was told that it was not going to be reviewed until January 5th. That is extremly excessive. Today, I called back and was told that the claim needed further review, and now it would be January 9th. The agents are rude, uneducated, they do not even have an online status form to check your claim. Next week will make one month since I filed and I still do not have a check. The company has zero qualms for taking your money but they find every reason not to pay! DO NOT USE them, there are much more effective and update companies that will pay you within a week or two
