Beware of working for a company called: Contingent Network Services (CNS) www.contingent.com & .net.

In a nut shell ... CNS subcontracts work out to deploy or administer what they sell. I'm not here to tell you what they sell. I'm here to let prospective or current patriots know that this company will eventually treat you like a second class citizen, deny your input and refuse to pay you for your time.

I performed only 6 jobs with CNS as a Minuteman Partner or MP. In this time line of work, I developed a list of complaints, then popped! MPs are what CNS calls, certified technicians that are really: Independent Contractors (IC).

Yes! I agree with other complaints posted here on Ripoff Report that arrogant CNS senior staff members will eventually belittle and rip off the same ICs they use to deploy and administrate what they sell.
Why?

My Proof = Computer technicians are a dime a dozen quotes; Bob Schwieterman, senior accounts specialist at CNS. When Bob doesn't like to hear a complaint / truth from a tech, he lets you know his righteous position by sending irrelevant emails and then ultimately refusing to pay the MP using delay tactics.

Does CNS have a license to belittle technicians? Why not call the BBB or the Department of Labor (DOL) and complain? LOL. The BBB & DOL are real sad jokes these days, so don't bother. Furthermore, the same CNS staff is their own Help Desk and their own Human Relations (HR) department! How can you get a compromise from that? I worked with CNS for 3 months and I know of 3 Jr staff members that have been terminated. I can only hope that one of them will come
forward and tell the truth.

This company deserves the We don't give a crap award.

In conclusion, this refusal to pay me is happening right now with a CNS work order* # 01234, release code* # 56789.

* not the real # for my protection.

Contingent will take advantage of you.

Because Bob thinks you are a dime a dozen, the others there think that also. Contingent will eventually stab you in the back of your time and/or materials thus costing you money & grief. I advise all Minuteman Partners working for Contingent to never invest 1 second more (especially unknown parts or materials) in a job than what the "IN WORK PO" states. Print out the approved amount before you go to the job site. Inform CNS that you will leave the job site if an increase $ in the approved amount cannot be given at that moment. Then print that increase out! Do this while you are on the job site ... and "Leave the site" even if you cant get a release code and/or have no internet access there to see the "IN WORK PO" status change. It's a pain in the butt but if you don't do it - You will get screwed. Look at all the complaints about this problem on this web site! However, your day may never come! Good Luck!

#1 UPDATE Employee

I am a MinuteMan Partner also

AUTHOR: Mark - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, October 23, 2011

I have been doing work as a MinuteMan partner for them since the first of the year (2011). I have also spoken & recieved work from Bob Schwiterman. I have had very few issues with them that havent been resolved succesfully. Biggest gripe I have had was one of the Project Manners was real slow in Authorizing Payment on invoices after the work was completed. But I contacted them about this & it was resolved. Many of the Project Managers will approve Payment the same day the work is completed.

I have been a Independent Field Tech for over 7 years. I do work for several Major companies other than Contingent. A lot of Contingents work is Wiring & smaller type businesses. Yes they employ entry level techs. But they expect you to know your stuff. They are not setup to Train People.
