Complaint Review: Coram Animal Clinic
Coram Animal Clinic OVER PRICED CARE MISDIAGNOSED NEGLECT Coram New York
*REBUTTAL Owner of company: Setting the record straight
*Consumer Comment: Vet Rippoffs,
Coram Animal Clinic is the worst Animal care facitily I have ever seen. It all started about 4 months ago in July when I brought my dog Reese there for a Rabies shot that she was needed because Petco wouldnt cut her nails untill she had one every year, I recall it used to be once now its every year. Then a month later in Augst, brought her in again for an ear issue. Reese was shaking her head contstantly as if there was something in her ear. I bring her to Coram Animal Clinic. Thats when we first encountered Dr. Jeffrey Krakowsky. He looked in her ears, said they were clean and didnt see any issues. So we were discharged with a bottle of ear cleaner and paid the office visit and for the wash approx. $85.00.
We did what they said to do wash and clean out her ears, yet she still was shaking her head. Brought her back again and yet they said the same thing, maybe its the food shes eating, (paid another 85. [continued below]....
A few days later, Reese came in from outside and her right ear was blown up like a football. So I made another appointment, then we had the pleasure of seeing another so called doctor named Dr. David Aguirre. He said ears look fine but giver here these steroids to see if it help reduce the swelling of the hemotoma, after 2 weeks of giving her them, didnt do any good. Brought her back again and I asked for a price to have the fix it.
They came back to me with a price of 485.00. Now I am laid off and money is tight right now. So, I saved up $200.00 and I borrowed another $100.00 from my ex wife becuase Reese has been whining in so much pain I felt bad for her. So today, I go back to see if they can help us out with the cost and had the most unfriendly encounter with Dr. Robert Rowman. He was not interested at all to help our dog out with the pain and said we are at an impass, no I know there were a couple of things he could have waied or not even done such as flushing her hears ( 65.00 and to still IV in dogs was another 85.00) His arrogant attitude sai these words exactly, " If we helped people out and not getting what we want ( which he said I was low balled by his own company) we would go out of business".
He wouldn't even take payments for the remaining $185.00. It was his way or the highway. Now being a customer of thiers, he should have worked things out for the best interest and care for the dog, instead his greed was so engrossed in hi voice and on his face, he said i'm done. Then had the nerve to refer me to another place 5 miles away for more money. Now, being a so called Dr., you are there to help animals or people in the best interest of the dog, but to totally get gross and not even examine Reese before he made his RUDE GREEDY PENNY PINCHING COMMENTS, but the patient first.
I used to sell cars before I was laid off and people like him come in and haggle and haggle untill they get the price they want, meanwhile the salesmans makes nothing is obserd. DO NOT go to CORAM ANIMAL CLINIC, THEY WILL LIE TO GET YOU IN THERE AND CHARGE YOU WHATEVER THEY WANT AS YOU LEAVE.
If you look up cheapskate, fraud physican you will see Dr. Robert Rowman face next to it. I hope he gets the same attention when he goes to buy his next car as Reese did when looking for care.
