Cornerstone Marketing vending machine location service scam Bluffton South Carolina

Chris Putnam, Owner/Manager, of Cornerstone Marketing was on the phone with me twice along with Mike Bell from All American Vending, Mobile Alabama. Mike Bell was trying to sell me 41 vending machines and used Chris Putnam's gurantee of 25 vends per day per machine to get me to buy the machines. Chris Putnam assured me that Cornerstone Marketing would keep relocating the machines until each machine was earning 25 vends per day (a total of $256.00 per day X 30 days = $7,687.00 per month).

It took Cornerstone 2 1/2 months to get a locator to come to Colorado to locate my machines. When I met with her she admitted to me that I would probably make only about $1,000.00 per month off the mchines if I was lucky by getting them placed in GOOD locations. She said she does this for a living and has to inform every vending machine purchaser that the companies trying to sell the machines all entice people with false earnings claims. She has to tell every single person she locates for this sad fact.

The locator tried locating my machines at night, placing 2 to 3 machines at each location, primarily in non-english speaking inner city locations (not what I expected!). She said upscale areas do not take vending machines. Of course I was promised that I could place them in my neighborhood.

Nothing Cornerstone or All American Vending promised me turned out to be true. I started getting the calls right away "Get these machines out of here before I put them in the dumpster", "Who told you you could put these here?", etc. etc. All the store owners were promised 50% commission and expected it even if there was only $8.00 in the machine for a month. The All American Vending Mighty-4 machines are extremely cheap ... plastic parts, easily pried open, etc. etc. Several of my machines were vandalised in the first week. I got 20 machines back and the remaining machines only make $400.00/month, not enough to pay for the candy inside.

All Americn Vending just keeps referring me to Cornerstone Marketing to handle the problems. All American Vending did not respond to my BBB complaint. Cornerstone Marketing keeps telling me to be patient.

With the pending FTC suit against Cornerstone Marketing and the history behind their other companies Best-Locations and Prestige Marketing I don't hold out too much hope for restitution.

This is one shady business, I didn't mention the hostile territory wars between other venders for locations, etc. etc. Cornerstone Marketing and the locators are all making in excess of $30,000.00 per month ... They are the only ones that benefit from this business.
