After I completed my 8 hour Security class. I went on line and found several companies on craigslist hiring and sent my resume to them. Two days after I got a call from a Ms Jackson at Corporate Security Services. Who ask me to come in the same day for a interview at 3:00 p.m. I told her I was living up Sate and could not make it in for that day. So the appointment was set for the next morning at10:00 am. I was ask to bring a $75.00 cash registration fee.

At 9:30 a.m I was in there reception area filling out an application form. A young lady who introduced her self to me as Ms Shannon came out and took me into a office in the back saying she was going to interview me. She ask me if I had any expierience as a Security Officer, and I replied yes its on my resume that I had sent in. She said she did not see the resume. And ask me if I had a extra copy on me. I did so I gave it to her. I told her I worked over two years in the Security fields in Miami. And my last position I worked was a post Commander of a 5 star hotel in Coconut Grove. She left the office stating that she was going to speak to her supervisor. She came back in a few minutes later saying with my experience her supervisor has a position for me. How ever i will have to do a fire guard class and I have to do my 16 hour class. I ask her how much these classes will cost, and she said $199.00 for the fire guard and the 16 hour is !50.00. I told her I don't have that cash on me. She left the office again to go speak to her supervisor again. When she came back she ask if I want to go to the bank and get it. Which bank I bank with. I told her TD bank. She said one was close by, and was giving me directions.  I told her I don't have the money in my account. She ask if there is some one I could borrow it from. I told her I would have to ask my brother. She said I must call him. I lied to her that he was at work and wont answer the phone. She left the office again to go speak to her supervisor. When she came back she ask me for the registration fee. Saying to me that it was for holding the position for me. And she ask me to fill out a form saying that it was for if I get the money to doing the fire guard class. I must call her the next day and let her  know so she can schedule the class for me.

She took  my drivers license, copy of my social security and my citizen certification and went to do copies of them. When she came back in, she gave me back my license, the copy of my social and my citizen certification. She gave me a copy of the form she ask me to fill out for the fire guard class. And a copy of a receipt for my $75.00 registration fee I gave her to hold the position she said her supervisor would hold for me.

The next day I ended up at my Doctor because I was so stressed out not getting the money and my blood pressure went up. I call Ms Shannon on the cell number she wrote on the back of the form and told her I could not get the money. She ask when can I and I told her I don't know. The next day I ended up in the emergency room of Vassar Brothers hospital. My blood pressure was very high, and the kept me all day trying to bring it down. While there I received a call from the office of Corporate Security Services asking me if I was going to be able to make the class on Monday. I told the person I cant. And that I had spoken to Ms Shannon the day before about it. Please I would like to make arrangement to get back the money I had given for the registration fee. The person told me I would have to speak to a supervisor about it. I have spoken to Ms Shannon and two supervisors about my money. And all of them said I cannot get back my money. I told them I would report the company, and the two supervisors were rude to me over the phone. They said I can go report to who ever.

I have written a long letter to the Attorney General in regards. Also I made a report to the BBB.  a copy of the receipt, copy of the form I was ask to fill out, copy of the answer I got back from the BBB, and a copy of the letter I sent to the Attorney General. And I will try to get phone records of the calls to and from Corporate Security. This company for one are doing false advertisement on craigslist. two, acting like they are a security company immediately hiring at a high pay rate to attract people. Three, taking money from people and not full filling what they took the money for. Four, trying to force people to do classes with them at high rates.

All I wanted was my $75.00 back. Now I pray there is other people out there that will unite with me to fight  this injustice. And stop these criminals from taking advantage of us.
